Welcome to the SVRI Forum 2024
The world’s key research conference on violence against women, violence against children, and other forms of violence driven by gender inequality in low and middle-income countries, being held 21 – 25 October at the CTICC in Cape Town, South Africa.
No other gathering in our field can compare to the SVRI Forum. It is a vibrant, informative and safe space for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, donors, survivors and others to share and learn about new research, developments and innovations. It is the largest abstract driven conference dedicated to research on prevention of and response to violence against women in all their diversity and violence against children.
SVRI Forum 2024 Upcoming Webinars
Wellness and Care at SVRI Forum 2024
25 September 2024, 14:30 – 15:30pm SAST
In the demanding fields of research and activism, maintaining both mental and physical wellness is essential. Work in the field, particularly in preventing, researching, or reducing violence against women, violence against children, or any form of gender-based violence, has significant impact on body and mind and can lead to stress, anxiety and disconnection. As we gather at the SVRI Forum 2024, we seek to be reminded that our wellness as social justice practitioners is paramount and crucial to our thriving as human beings. Although the focus is on the SVRI Forum 2024, all are welcome to attend. Join us as we discuss the need for and barriers to self-care and our plans to prioritise care at the SVRI Forum 2024.
