Welcome to the SVRI Forum 2024

The world’s key research conference on violence against women, violence against children, and other forms of violence driven by gender inequality in low and middle-income countries, being held 21 – 25 October at the CTICC in Cape Town, South Africa.

No other gathering in our field can compare to the SVRI Forum. It is a vibrant, informative and safe space for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, donors, survivors and others to share and learn about new research, developments and innovations. It is the largest abstract driven conference dedicated to research on prevention of and response to violence against women in all their diversity and violence against children.

“…SVRI Forum is an ideal platform to highlight all the work that is being done in the world around this subject. I like that it pulls researchers from everywhere working in diverse parts of the world to support SGBV. This was an ideal step for a new entrant to acquaint oneself with the field.”

“It was such a transforming experience that provided a platform for us to grow, make friends, share ideas and research methods and tools, network globally, the list is endless”

“I love, love, love the SVRI Forum! It’s my favourite conference of all time. Thank you!”
